Modern slavery & human trafficking policy

Green Verdant Consultancy (trading as “Verdant Consultancy” / “Verdant”)

Policy statement

Verdant Consultancy is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our business operations and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to act ethically and with integrity, and to implement effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery does not take place within our organisation or in any organisations with which we work.

This policy is informed by the principles of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and international human rights standards, including the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

Our business

Green Verdant Consultancy is an education consultancy providing guidance, advisory, and related professional services to students, families, and educational institutions. Our operations are primarily service-based, with a low-risk supply chain.

Our supply chains

Our supply chains are limited and primarily consist of:

• Professional service providers (e.g. consultants, educators, advisors)
• Digital service providers (e.g. software, hosting, communications)
• Administrative and business support services

We do not engage in manufacturing, large-scale procurement, or high-risk labour sectors.

Our commitment

We are committed to ensuring that:

• All individuals working with or for us do so voluntarily
• We do not tolerate forced labour, child labour, or human trafficking
• We act promptly if any concerns relating to modern slavery are identified

Due diligence and risk assessment

Given the nature and scale of our business, we assess the risk of modern slavery within our operations and supply chains to be low. Nevertheless, we:

• Work only with reputable suppliers and partners
• Expect suppliers to comply with applicable laws relating to employment, human rights, and labour practices
• Review supplier relationships where appropriate

Reporting concerns

Any concerns or suspicions relating to modern slavery or human trafficking connected to our business should be reported immediately to senior management. All reports will be taken seriously and investigated appropriately.

Responsibility for this policy

Responsibility for this policy rests with the Director of Green Verdant Consultancy Ltd, who is accountable for its implementation and ongoing review.

Review

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect changes in legislation, guidance, or business operations.
